Transgender reality television star Caitlyn Jenner will attend President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration this Friday, according to a new report.

Jenner is going to the event as a guest of the American Unity Fund, a conservative LGBTQ rights advocacy organization, People magazine reported Wednesday.

“Caitlyn has been a Republican all her life and she sees this as an opportunity to represent and defend the LGBTQ community within her own party,” a source familiar with the former “I Am Cait” star’s plans said.

“Caitlyn sees this as a chance to bring attention to LGBTQ causes and she is committed to protecting human rights no matter the political party in power,” they added. “She has no problem speaking out if Republicans fail to protect equal rights.”

People reported that Jenner was not invited by Trump and will instead attend the inauguration as a guest of the American Unity Fund.

The group’s website says it is “dedicated to advancing the cause of freedom for LGBT Americans by making the conservative case that freedom truly means freedom for everyone.”

Jenner, meanwhile, pledged Wednesday via Twitter that she would serve as a bridge between Republicans and the LGBTQ community.

Jenner has collaborated with the group before, attending its Big Tent Brunch during the Republican National Convention in July.

“The Republican Party needs to understand,” she said during the event in Cleveland. “They need to know people that are trans.”

“I’ve been very disappointed over the last five, 10 years [by the Republican Party] but I won’t give up on it,” added Jenner, who revealed her identity as a trans woman in April 2015.

Jenner, who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, made her name and gender change official in September 2015.

The former Olympic decathlete praised Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during the GOP’s 2016 presidential primary but stopped short of formally endorsing any candidate.
