Contact: Jerri Ann Henry
WASHINGTON, D.C. – In advance of Maryland Republican Party leaders attending the 2015 MDGOP Fall Convention in Solomon’s Island this weekend, Platform Reform Campaign Manager Jerri Ann Henry, offers the following comments:
“It is our hope that Maryland’s delegates to the 2016 Republican National Convention will encourage their colleagues will adopt a reformed platform that supports the freedom to marry and represents the values which have brought new voters and energy to the state GOP.”
“The Platform Reform campaign’s suggested 2016 Republican Party plank on marriage and family is consistent with the conservative values of limited government and individual freedom. It is compatible with the Republican Party’s strong commitment to the principle of religious liberty.”
“We will work closely with the Maryland GOP to train, recruit and elect delegates who will adopt a Republican Platform in 2016 that supports the freedom to marry and creates a more inclusive Party.”
